Center of Strategic Initiatives and Assistance (CSIA) in the framework of humanitarian activities has provided financial support to realize urgent roof works at North East Refugee Center (NERC), situated at 10151 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19116.

CSIA provides constant support to the refugees and their children, who apply for food, clothes, education, daycare. There are a lot of refugee children from Ukraine, a lot of refugee from different countries of former Soviet Union apply for food at NERC Food Pantry.

The next important step is to make a professional kitchen and feeding capacities, that would make it possible to provide more effective feeding services to the refugees and children on every-day basis, as well as to prepare packages of additional food, partially supported by CSIA.

CSIA representatives took part in a business forum organized by the Uzbek diaspora leadership in Philadelphia

The forum was honored by the presence of Adiz Boboev, Governor of Uzbekistan’s Samarkand Region, and Furqat Sidikov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States. 

The meetings resulted in agreements to support the establishment of English language courses in Samarkand, provide assistance to the Ukrainian diaspora, and strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian and Uzbek diaspora communities in the United States.
