On May 9, CSIA took part in the conference with the participation of the US Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Prevention Programs and Partnership

The theme of the conference is Preventing targeted Violence in your Community: Law Enforcement’s Role in Prevention.

CSIA representative Archbishop Luke spoke about the agency's initiatives to improve public safety.

It was noted that CSIA offers the implementation of special program activities. This is the creation of a psychological support center for refugees, the opening of sports sections, the holding of cultural and educational events among the diaspora and local communities. Such communications, their systematization and permanence are an important condition for improving security issues and integration of refugees into public life and it will have a positive impact on public security.

The forum was honored by the presence of Adiz Boboev, Governor of Uzbekistan’s Samarkand Region, and Furqat Sidikov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States. 

The meetings resulted in agreements to support the establishment of English language courses in Samarkand, provide assistance to the Ukrainian diaspora, and strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian and Uzbek diaspora communities in the United States.
