In connection with Orthodox Easter, CSIA together with volunteers prepared traditional gifts for refugees and diasporas who celebrate the holiday.

During the event, representatives of ethnic diasporas of different countries, religious leaders, honorable Chairman of House Committee on Agriculture Glen Thompson were present.

Director of the humanitarian and social department of CSIA Alla Pukhtetska presented the humanitarian and social platform and talked about the current plans of the organization.

On April 09, 2024 CSIA has participated in the important conference, organized by the Center of Prevention programs and Partnership of the United States Department of Homeland Security “Organization of cooperation of DHS with NGO with the aim to provide internal security, prevention of terrorism, crimes and other security issues”. Member of the Director`s Board Bishop of Philadelphia Luke (Zhoba) has stressed on the necessity to take into consideration the proposals of the NGOs as to improvement of their communication with DHS, that has found support from the side of DHS. CSIA plans to provide complex analytical support to provide effective cooperation with DHS.

Alla Pukhtetska as a head of humanitarian and social department of CSIA provides English as a second language studies and music vocal training to the refugee children. Children choir has recently participated in the Festival and Talent show activities at George Washington High School and won the prize in the talents competition. We congratulate our partners from all of our hearts with such an award. From the part of CSIA we shall provide constant support and necessary assistance to the children and orphans in need, studying at Sunday school and daycare at NERC in Philadelphia.

Center of Strategic Initiatives and Assistance (CSIA) in the framework of humanitarian activities has provided financial support to realize urgent roof works at North East Refugee Center (NERC), situated at 10151 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19116.

CSIA provides constant support to the refugees and their children, who apply for food, clothes, education, daycare. There are a lot of refugee children from Ukraine, a lot of refugee from different countries of former Soviet Union apply for food at NERC Food Pantry.

The next important step is to make a professional kitchen and feeding capacities, that would make it possible to provide more effective feeding services to the refugees and children on every-day basis, as well as to prepare packages of additional food, partially supported by CSIA.

While realization of roof repairment works, CSIA takes active participation in packing food for refugees at NERC for it`s further sharing to the refugee families. Volunteers of the NERC and CSIA representatives provide additional possibilities for storage, sharing and transportation of food for refugees families on every-week basis. As for now more than one hundred families have applied for food packages at Food Pantry, situated at 10151 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19116.
